Location Data Usage

Why We Use Background Location

SaaS HBP requires background location access to ensure continuous and accurate tracking even when the app is not actively displayed on screen. This is essential for:

• Recording accurate route history without requiring the user to keep the app open at all times.

Without background location access, the core feature of SaaS HBP (live tracking) will not function properly. On Android, background location is managed via the ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION permission. On iOS, it is managed via the "Always" location permission setting.

Foreground Service

When tracking is active on Android, SaaS HBP runs a foreground service with a persistent notification to inform users that location tracking is ongoing. This ensures transparency and complies with Android platform requirements. On iOS, a location indicator is displayed in the status bar when SaaS HBP is accessing your location.
